Berry Astrapak welcomes new Key Account Managers
As a company, we strive to foster healthy, long-standing relationships with our customers, as they are essential to the foundation of our business. Without nurturing our partnerships and proactively building up our connections, we would fail to have meaningful customer relationships.
“To achieve this, Berry Astrapak has invested in our customer services by eyeing out fresh talent for our team of professionals,” says Grant Matthews, Group Sales Executive. “Recently, our Sales Team gained two new Key Account Managers in thermoforming, Janine Charters and Gavin Craig, and we’re proud to welcome them to our team.”
Janine Charters has eight years of experience under her belt working for a large plastic manufacturing company in South Africa. Outside of office hours, you can find her in a park or at sport matches, cheering on for her two children.
With regards to her style of work, Janine describes herself as very methodical as she’s always on the look-out for the next big project and potential customers. Janine also expressed her excitement to work for a large group such as Berry Global, and she looks forward to the diversity that the company has to offer.
“It’s important to me to build good relationships with customers because Berry Astrapak needs to be the first thing they think about when it comes to packaging. I’m hoping to increase our client base and to introduce our products to different market segments and grow our brand.”
Similarly, Gavin Craig is passionate about bottom-line growth and business stability that will ensure security for the future of the company. In order to achieve this, his vision includes cementing foundations with key customers and treating them with the utmost respect.
As an avid runner, Gavin knows the benefit of slow and steady progress to finish the race. Building up stable rapports in the industry takes persistent effort and endurance, not unlike the marathons that he is accustomed to running.
“I think I’m a fun person that brings out positive energy in a group. I focus on people, knowing that the results will follow. This is how I’ve built a support structure of lasting customer relationships over the years,” said Gavin.
Having worked in the packaging industry for almost 30 years, Gavin’s experience in printing, thermoforming, sales and marketing have positioned him to be a real asset to our Sales Team.
“On behalf of our Sales Team at Berry Astrapak, we wish Janine and Gavin all the best in their positions and every success in their endeavours with us,” said Grant.
