The Management Team is proud to announce the union of two well-established business pioneers, which promises help towards overcoming the social differences in South Africa. In a unique transaction between WDB Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd (“WDBIH”) and RPC Astrapak (as it was then known) effective 1 June 2018, the coming together of two significantly well organised, professional and powerfully motivated companies to form an alliance once more paves a pioneering path, this time in unison and within the plastic packaging industry.

One of the cornerstones of the Group’s B-BBEE strategy is to partner with appropriate black companies for specific initiatives. Where there is a good cultural fit and mutual respect, these relationships may be formalised to ensure on-going participation in future initiatives.

The Berry Astrapak’s Social and Ethics Committee will make a valuable contribution to ensuring that the Group moves towards these acceptable levels of compliance.
