Operation Clean Sweep (OCS)
Created in 1991
OCS is voluntary stewardship programme for facilities that handle plastic materials.
Administered jointly by SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association and the American Chemistry Council (ACC)
OCS is designed to help facilities implement procedures to keep plastic materials out of our waterways and eliminate plastic pellet, flake and powder loss.
Packaging SA
The Packaging Council of South Africa (PACSA) was founded in 1984
Now replaced by a new industry body called Packaging SA
Closely associated with The Institute of Packaging South Africa (IPSA)

Particular focus on the environment and dealing with issues on the Waste Management Bill
