Robin Moore retires from the Plastics Industry
This week, we say farewell and good luck to a stalwart in the packaging industry – Robin Moore – who retires from Astrapak, a Berry Global company, on 31 January.
Robin’s journey began in the Plastics Industry with Nampak/Metal Box in 1985, where he continued his service to the industry before joining Astrapak as CEO in 2013.
His thorough approach to running and managing all aspects of the business as well as his fine attention to detail is unsurpassed.
During his tenure at Astrapak, Robin’s hunger and desire to see the company thrive was evident and saw him get intimately involved, always with a hands-on approach. He had an incredible ability to manage numerous tasks throughout the business, in every aspect of the business. He paid very close attention to the goings-on around him and always had his finger on the pulse – never withdrawn.
And at all times, especially through the really tough times, Robin always remained respectful towards people and remained sensitive to the human side of the business.
After handing over the reins to incoming MD Craig Matthews six months ago, Robin now begins the next leg of his journey into his retirement. We wish you all the best Robin! "Life is a journey, enjoy the ride!”
