Nifty and simplistic PJ Jars

Petroleum jelly has long since been a South African staple in both the medical and beauty industries. Boasting a wide variety of uses, this miracle product can help heal skin injuries, moisturise dry skin, prevent rashes and remove make-up. It’s no wonder many South Africans won’t leave the house without a jar of handy petroleum jelly.

Berry Astrapak proudly supplies compact jars to conveniently package petroleum jelly, but they are not limited to this wonder product and can be used to contain a range of personal care items like lotions, hair gels and hand creams as well as non-personal care items such as automotive grease.

The “PJ” Jar, as it’s affectionately known at Berry Astrapak, doesn’t overcomplicate the simple product. The sturdy jar can withstand jostling in a handbag but is not too bulky to fit in tight spaces, such as drink holders in a car.

Classically designed, the jar has neat lines and is manufactured in natural “clear” standard polypropylene (PP) plastic. The cleaner plastic produces a more transparent appearance which allows consumers to see the product easily. Both the closure and jar are fully recyclable.

Various decorative options allow for personalising your brand. The transparent appearance enhances a gel product inside; however, the packaging and the closure can be colour matched. Self-adhesive labels offer added shelf appeal.

Conveniently sized in both 50ml and 100ml volumes, the PJ Jar enables consumers to choose their preference. The smaller 50ml size is useful for on-the-go re-applications, while the 100ml jar is ideal for the homemaker’s first-aid kit. Some may opt to have the complete set to ensure they have stock readily available.
