Plastic plates have a longer lifespan since they are easy to reuse or repurpose through recycling schemes. Berry Astrapak’s plastic picnic plates are skilfully manufactured at their Thermopac site with an interchangeable mould to suit both PP and PET materials – this allows suppliers manufacturing versatility and serves the market with 230 millimetre diameter plates for hot foods and cold snacks respectively.

Sturdy in design, the plates are firm enough to withstand the weight of heavy foods. Unlike paper plates which soak through, these vessels are perfect for wet foods like potjies or curries and an adequate 20mm depth lends itself to holding a larger volume of food with minimal spillage.
