COVID-19 Update

As our country enters a period of 21 days of government-enforced lockdown, we can confirm that Berry Astrapak’s sites have all been accredited on the DTI website to continue operations during the lockdown period, and the relevant permits will be issued to the various sites during today and tomorrow.

During this time of uncertainty and turmoil, which will likely result in unforeseeable circumstances, we pledge to endeavour to continue with our manufacturing operations as smoothly and efficiently as possible, to meet delivery and service level expectations.

However, the complexity of certain issues, which vary from transportation of staff to work, high absenteeism under these extreme conditions and the expected constraints around supply chain and logistics functions, may result in certain delays and interruptions to our ability to meet all delivery service levels.

Please be assured that we will continue to provide our service in the best way that we can, but there is every possibility that there could be delays in, or restrictions on, our ability to continue meeting our supply and service level commitments over the next 21 days.

We will keep you up to date with developments as they unfold to ensure that our operations remain transparent under these circumstances.

As a whole, the Berry Astrapak team remains positive during these ever-changing times.

Along with my Executive Team, I wish you well during the National Lockdown and urge you to remain strong and united so that we, as a nation, can flatten the curve in an effort to beat the devastating effects of COVID-19.
